The HS band-room; suppose it paid off: All State trpt./& jazz in HS/college-late 70's/early 80's. Music Scholarship-UK. Did a stint for @ 4 yrs as a DJ at a couple of local radio stations during those years; & loved it.
 
I'll never forget: 1-my wedding day!, 2- watching my kids be born!  3-1st missions trip-Mex Cty, 4-ministry with "Street Life Band", 5-bldg-orphanage in Peru, 6-serving as Pres. of the 300+ mbr UK band; road trips! 7-Venice w/Renee, 8-the Alps, 9-Eiffel, 10- Vatican, 11-touring concentration camp in Belgium, 12-Waterloo where Napolean was defeated, 13-Ecuadorian Jungle Chief salvation w/ whole tribe following, 14-BigBen & LondonBridge, 15-Iguasu Falls-Brazil, 16-KWA, 17-GrandCanyon, 18-Hawaiian sunset, 19-playing trpt for Richard Nixon, 20-being in Venezuelan hospital, 21-a Doc Severinsen Jazz Concert '76, 22-altar ministry in BA, Argentina...
 
1st X in Europe-age 16; now, convinced, the world=truly a "global village"; in the journey met Renee; dated 3 1/2 yrs; she was my bday present on my wedding day '86.
 
SEC-UK fans; winning or losing. But, like winning better! In Louisville now-happy hanging UK flag for neighbors to see!
 
'87 entered ministry (Chi Alpha College ministry as an associate @ Morehead State Univ.for 1yr) after a stint in IBM and OLIVETTI sales.
 
'88 became FT Worship Leader & Youth Pastor
'90 Interim Pastor of same church
'92 (2nd time) Interim Pastor of the church
'92 Senior Pastor of King's Way AG- Lexington/Versailles KY
'94 Ordained w/AG, ...*and then ten years later:
 
'04 elected KY Superintendent AG after 16 yrs @ King's Way/12 yrs as pastor. (At the time of election, *41yrs old- the youngest AG Supt in America.)
 
KYAG (KY Assemblies of God) Missions Director. for several years.
Former Bd.Pres-KY Teen Challenge -drug & alcohol rehab/discipleship program.
Former Bd. Pres-CrossOver Ministries, Lex. KY.
Former Exec Sec -National Bd of AG District Schools of Ministry.
Presently: Bd Mbr, Evangel Univ, Springfield MO / Bd Mbr, Native Am. Bible College, NC / Bd Mbr, The Nile Maternity Home-for unwed mothers / General Presbyter-USA AG-since '04, & / Bd of Dir's -Unsion Hispanic Family Television Network- headquarters in Cuenca, Ecuador.
 
Joys=hanging out w/my kids & being w/my wife, listening to Rachel laugh, watching her ride horses, listening to her & Steven play piano, drums & sax, talks with Steven and Rae, experiencing life & ministry w/my kids & family, laughing at Steven's jokes, smiling as I'm thinking thru his "deep musings", PM swims w/Rachel in the pool, playing w/ Jazz our Lab-Golden mix, my convertible (3rd one)-I love sun & breeze (especially since Renee won't let me have a motorcycle), &...for the most part, travel. The passport=quieter lately, but we've been "blessed" to be...& see...& experience...more than most. What a life!
